A Day Trip
bus departing

Trip to DIA, The Whitney and Pewabic Pottery

Do you like to take short trips but would rather not have to make reservations, drive yourself, and search for a parking place? An AACC trip is just what you need.

In the photo to the left, Club members board the bus for one of the favorite destinations for day trips--the Detroit Insitute of Arts (DIA).

On this trip in March 2009, they viewed the special exhibit of The Art of Norman Rockwell. The DIA doesn't allow photography, so no pictures are included here. But the response to viewing the exhibit was very enthusiastic.

After the DIA visit, the group had lunch at the Whitney and then went on to a vist to Pewabic Pottery.

Mary Bachman, an ardent photographer and member of the AACC, took photos at those two locations, which can be seen by clicking the links below:

To the right is a photo of two happy club members as they returned after another very enjoyable day trip with friends.

If there are trips you would like, make your ideas known to the Programs and Classes Committee.
