57th Annual Home Tour
Darren and Karen Millman
928 Aberdeen

Millman Home

From Washtenaw turn left onto Devonshire Road, continue past
Londondery Road, pass Belmont Road (on the right only), cross Arlington
and soon on the right is Aberdeen. Turn right and home is on the right.
Parking on Arberdeen or Devonshire.

This home was a simple ranch built in 1957 on a dirt road near Devonshire Road in the Ann Arbor Hills area. For the last four years, the Millmans have owned this home that is set back from a road lined with mature trees. In 2005, soon after acquiring 928 Aberdeen, Darren and Karen began remodeling the entire house and included two new additions to make it the home they wanted for their family. This construction was done by Millman Development, Inc.

This remodeled and enlarged home, with additions on the back, is now 2,800 square feet with a 1,000 square foot finished lower level. Now the interior of this ranch home has an updated more livable open floor plan and incudes a gourmet kitchen, a home office and three betdrrooms with a spacious master suite.

In the front of the home an exposed aggregate concrete druveway curves left past the entryway to the garage. The cobination stone and shingle siding relates the house and garage. In the back of the house, outside the gourmet kitchen, is a beautiful patio with a masonry outdoor fireplace ready for summer entertaining.
